Your mind makes mistakes like the angels must masterbate, but hey, don’t let a rainy day get you down, just take a second and look around, the trees green grass growing. I saw a man rowing out in the ocean the other day as me and my friends layed cast away on a broken down jetski. I wondered what his feeling was, to be there, rowing, on a single-maned rowboat, his two long arms extended through the oars…jesus, how soar he must have been when he started working like that, but now? The boat and him must be one, and perhaps it people learn to become one with thier surroundings, thier instruments or vehicles. To be honest I think we’re all some sort of vessel, a medium- does somethign flow through us in our attempts to express? doesn’t something constantly flow through in and around us throughout the universe? Maybe people don’t tend to think that way. But these are the things I wonder.

I remember one time I was standing out by a dock late in the night during a catastrophic thunderstorm and that was when i first embraced that electric energy of life and thought, ‘well i could die’ and i won’t lie, i was damn freightned. I was so damn scared i took two three steps back to the edge. In retrospect I maybe should have jumped into the sea and started to swim. ‘Whatever it takes’ i keep telling myself.

How is it that i do the things I do with only three strings? I guess its the same way politcians can sing and bring smiles to people faces while they secretly inside feel like everything they hear is a lie. Am I proud of these illusions? Soemtimes I may provide peopel with three seconds of a difference- I intrude into thier secure surroundings and through wood and wires, through the stroking of strings their mindframe changes. And thats my choice. I have grown dependent on the notion of music and may even become depressed without it.

Funny how I lament the physical realm as mundane yet without it music would not come to be. I’m still waiting for that day when I won’t need anything to establish a sufficeint connection. It’s happened, of that i’m sure, but when will it come again? Is it even a comprehendable concept or am I attempting to create something beautiful that words can not describe?

Science could sing and with simple chemical changes and descriptions the brain processes would be defined as such- yet when it attempts to classify the spiritual aspect of man, or the energy of tha hands, chakras and auras, ect, ect, what happens?

Whatever the case is, I love to hear things that bring forth faith. I heard a bird, or the crickets crick. Things of that nature- things from nature- and humans too- yes yes, how high i can hold the human voice and its ramblings. Sometimes i think music and drugs are both attempts to gamble with the mind- people do them all the time, some are feared, others are advertised.

I wish I could remember the ancient times where wolf and man both howled to the moon and held static star festivals where sweat and saliva came together in one huge dioynsic dreamt up dance.

im writing this twenty till seven and i cant help but thinking that maybe this reality might be better than any esteemed heaven and well, have i let life become some sort of spiritual transcendent truth? some sort of established enlightened process? I just play guitar. I can touch certain strings and sing certain notes. I am no pavaratti…i could not onfidently sing opera, but i am confident in saying i have an open mind. Am i too noble? I’ve never really hitchhiked before but i’ve done it almost every night now…there’s something about long walks kicking coke cans to pass the time waiting for late night grass gazing that might be the greatest thing life has to offer.

im waiting for the sunrise. its interesting- i was a walking daydream twenty minutes ago out on the street- i had actually walked to the beach with a few gitanos playing guitarra all the way down those blocks to get to that dark beach- and we played right there on the sand for another group of kids, with girls too yea, they were rolling hash cigarrettes and i was just singing there standing laughing loving every second of what a walking man has to have- i am a bard then- and perhaps the most beautiful thing for most people these days to listen to is just the sight of someone in the crowd who gives them an oppurtunity to really open themselves- and im not really tlking about an ultimate outlet that can leave kids catharticly killer (although its happened) im just talking about one oppurtunity i have to offer- take some strings and wood, vocal chords thoughts ideas emotions and its an instant catalyst.

im talking about creation. about cradling the essence of the universe by putting forth a personal proposition for self empowerment and concieve the concept of conquering enlightenment- of unleashing what can be the most ultimate unifying force-

im talking about music.

and if you must know, its 6:50 AM, and its ten minutes till seven.

if the world is all wonders and awe and the most inexplicabe happens to be the most inevitable- what inspiring things can be said? That we will all end dead? All friends, and all family? Where is that blessed faith i had called upon earliar? Ears can hear silence, eyes have seen black, tears have cried truths and what’s the use? I wish someone could try and tell me the news but when you’re sitting on the floor screaming fuck fuck fuck fuck over and over i just had to double over and die. but where’s the beauty in that? Didn’t nietzche wish us all the most incredible hardships so that we may attain a higher state of grace…? My faith had fathomed experiances like this- it had even called to it and said: i will be dead…and so i bit the bayonnettes and stood under lightning stars and sang to god…..but now? Now when the sudden surprise of death happens to beckon and i am forced to believe- god damn that disease. god damn it. I feel like a confederate in the north for i have succumbed into a state of numbness- but im breaking. i already believe- but i wish to break- i want to become that which is forever in that garden of eternal pleasure- and that is where she lays now. and so i am proud to have heard her say she wanted colors sing and dances at her funeral- what fun…what faith- may she rest in place and have heavens gate open to her name.
