Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment illustrates the paradoxical nature of quantum mechanics: how can a cat be both live and dead? In short, it reveals the issues pertaining to the scientifically accepted idea of superpositioned states in combination to the natural world seen by the naked eye. While many interpretations of Quantum Mechanics exist, perhaps the most notable, is that of the Copenhagen Interpretation.

It is the writer’s opinion, his intuition and influence rather, by his previous philosophical studies, which allow him to resonate most agreeably with said interpretation. Indeed, within the Copenhagen interpretation it states that a system stops being a superposition of states and becomes either one or the other when an observation takes place. In relation to this experiment, this observation is merely a measurement, however, in relation to a knowing subject, much like the writer and the reader, this measurement is an observation.

As repetitive as it might seem one must give sufficient respect to what this scenario entails; what is the significance of such an observation? This significance implies both the ability to question and alter reality for if it were not for an observation there would be no reality.

Once again, the writer feels compelled to repeat the already stated to establish a proper understanding of what is acknowledgment, of what is observation, and what is reality. In accordance to what has been said and what the writer has studied it is evident to note that the significance of these simply repeated sentences reside within Schopenhauer’s definition and philosophy of the term will.

The purpose of physics in this case is to bring to the light the form in which this phenomena exists. Thus we return to the Copenhagen interpretation and Quantum physics. In regards to the double slit experiments we must now thank Neil Bohr and Werner Heisenberg for stepping beyond the realm of empirical observations and questioning through the form of mathematics and experimentations the essence of life.

Life, in all its many facets, for us, begins at the moment of conception. Our creation, thus (aside from the ecstasy of an orgasm which some fathom to be the ‘big bang’) begins in a moment of pure willing; semen swimming towards an egg striving to be an entity. It is important to note the resemblance between a beam of light and a sperm cell and touch upon the fact that between them both, a will is controlling and guiding the path our existence is founded on.

That is life and that is physics- this is them both:

Not only did the laboratory experiments of Neil and Heisenberg disclose the fact,
but the new theories predicted the consequences that:

Elementary particles are neither wave nor particle
(We are neither thought nor human)
Knowing the position of a particle,
(The position of our person in this moment with our knowledge and consciousness)

prevents us from knowing
(Where are we going? What are we doing?)
The direction and velocity,
That the very fact of detecting a small object, photon, or electron

(Thought!)
Passing through
(Life)
An apparatus by one
(Will)
Path or another can change the end result of
(Life)
The experiment when
(We)
That small entity
Reaches

(Reason of thought and will)
a detection screen.

The results of their own burgeoning understanding disoriented Bohr and Heisenberg.
And their results seemed to some people to indicate, for instance,
That the fact that a human being had

(Willed) &
Observed some event,
Changed the reality of an event.

“Our will changes the many possible realities which exist in the many-world interpretation of Quantum mechanics, for we are neither thought nor human but rather everything and everyone- the world exists as objects forming the basis of our perception forming a representation. These objects always exist in the relation to a subject, to us. Is this world nothing more than representation or is there something else? This something must be by its whole nature completely different from the representation, from the guidance of sciences and laws which merely combine objects & representations with one another. This something is a feeling, an energy, Odic Force, an elan vital, and a one unified soul.”

How do you live this life in accordance to what is thought to be right, moral and just?

Stoicism teaches us, the human freedom, the belief that virtue is all that is important to maintain a will that is in accord with nature. It teaches us the self control and fortitude as a means to overcome destructive and dark emotions; it is a philosophy that holds that becoming a clear and unbiased thinker allows one to understand the universal reason.

The universal entity that is: us.

A Thought

June 11, 2008

Sing songs without speech,

with just a simple OHM——

A buddhist sits still for hours on end,

repeating the same frequency: OHM

and some could say that’s just the fundamental tone to all truths- the greatest teacher man could ever have: existence-

and some could say it’s Christ,

some could say God

or the “elan vital”

People say a lot of things. Not enough of them sit still and listen though.

Have you ever heard water rushing down a mountain or a strong breeze?

as if life was breathing all around you?

Have you ever heard the highway cars glide like a great sudden movement of man and notice how it al happens to sound the same?

There is energy in existence, of that I am sure.

I am sure there has been a past, and the peoples of those times have said something, sang songs and left certain truths more evident for us. I’m also sure some sort of future is possible. Theres a lot of oppurtunities to act on.

But of all the things, the most certain of all things is this inherent present. It is in this time that action is only possible. Now is the oppurtunity. Now is time. Now is truth. Now. Now. Now.

Where is God? Who is God?

It isin’t a person.

It isin’t in a poem.

or even in a phrase.

He isin’t in a book

nor has he written one.

I don’t think he’s left us any promises

and i don’t even think it’s a He.

I could think a lot of things. But of what i’m most sure is of that which i hear-

in what I see, feel and believe.

I have faith.

I am fortunate enough to fathom such an impossible term.

People tell me a lot of things.

Sometimes i just shrug, smile, and sing.

There’s not much else that makes me happy except singing and dancing.

I heard Dylan say in an interview this one time that he was a song-and-dance-man. Someone asked him what that meant. He said there wasn’t enough time to go into that. I believe him.

Music is the greatest metaphor we have for life.

Even in silence can one hear nature singing.

Dippanka or some buddhist or another asked his mentor what life was or something.

It is the roaring silence of a diamond.

and when i think of things like that, well, this little blue earth becomes a part of something so much bigger than space and time. and that’s probably the most universal truth i can think of right now.

I played a piano piece once upstairs a desolate hotel, where I walked down a corridor adorned with intricate abstract pieces of art and sat down late in one night to play a piece never played again. I am a person, a single soul roaming this single rock of earth accumulating knowledge and experiences…how will the world accept such a simple yet intricate process? Well it isn’t my problem- I am a person- an adolescent nonetheless who will always retain the heart of a child…and so I sat to play a soft song…and what was to say of its structure, of its tempo changes and many chord change progressions? Nothing! I can only describe to you its passion- I can describe to you the pain and passion it takes to forget all which I can fathom behind a fret board or piano bench… – all those processes which happen in the brain…and yet it is still captured… no not on paper of through notes written but through this distinct essence of the mind. How else could I have been inspired to commit this pen to paper, these fingers to type? As people we retain the ability to express and remember. Let our technological advances be responsible for retaining these experiences.

I will expound upon this further dear reader. If we could revert back to the moonlit nights in Mozart’s den when he pounded away his passion on piano keys, or when Tchaikovsky became inspired with his symphonies then yes!, we can be grateful that their current technology and theory (parchment and music theory) allowed them to retain that essence…that essence of the mind that continues to exist to this day on youtube links and countless conductors in countless opera houses playing countless notes precisely as how they played hundreds of years ago…yes! Their legacy lives on! We live in the past!

…But life? What is say of my piano played nights in dark desolate hotel bars? Lost. Lost to humanity but still held in my mind. But what if I held a recorder in my hand? Or a frequency reader on the keys?

I fathom a future in which the moment…the music of the moment and the creation of a catharsis is of the utmost importance! We pertain to moment in time in which the peoples of this society are obsessed with documentation… take a picture!, record the speech!… Write it down! And yet with this emphasis of the moment we have, quite ironically, begun to live in the past through our emphasis of it.

A  MANIFESTO  ON   MODERN   DAY MUSIC

                                      AND     OUR     CORPORATE     CULTURE

We have banished the way of the Bard with pyrotechnics and high-class gimmicks. Men no longer place bets with beauty but rather gamble with greatness- they say, ¨Hey, lets place this much money on this such person and provide music for the masses.¨ We have fabricated emotions. Music is no longer a fantasy but a function. We have progressed into a time of corporate creations and the individual has been lost like stale statues which whither in the wind…One hit wonders and fashionable fads soon to be forgotten. And it is we who have progressed from futurists, to surrealists, to existentialists and post-modern man to vehemently say: Fuck that. This is our manifesto on modern music and our evolved…or rather devolved corporate culture; we have banished the way of the bard and bastardized all the expressive mediums.

We must now begin to emphasis on the process of creation and revert to the roots of primordial man and discard the outcome: let it be known; it is not in our nature or necessity to declare any sort of document that declares our essence: our essence is of the only importance and it is our actions in the moment which matter most. We are not to be responsible for any results be it financial or formulaic. We must do away with recordings or any sort of capturings´- the importance and emphasis lays in the process and of creations. We must make a masterpiece and discard the canvas and acknowledge it for what it is: dust in the wind.

We must live! We must expose our subconscious sentiments, the heart of our essence and merge our spiritual side of life to the mundane materials. We must act as a collective and consciously create for the mere purpose of creating and do what the peoples of earth have been granted; the gift of expression. We must revolt against the norms and release the accumulated angst that has been building within. It is time the proletarian and Bourgeois societies stand to their callings and rebel against the most obvious and arrogant leaders. We must cease being a silent majority allowing for corruption. I am speaking of battling politics with philosophy.

Music must be improvised. Art sporadic and pertinent to the inner essence of man. Writing must be automatic being most accurate to ones state of mind. We must experiment and experience all that life has to offer. We must acknowledge that fact that life is a series of frequencies akin to strings and that we are as significant as we are insignificant. We are worms chewing on the corpses of men hoping to lay fertile ground for future generations. And greatness will only result in getting the fuck up and acting in accordance with our souls and singing, shouting if necessary to the music in our hearts. This is our manifesto and you have heard it. Do not apologize for your apathy- you are the only one responsible for your actions and you must act now.

Live. Love. Life. Create. Now

Forget   the  past, find  faith in the  now  and

Find         the       future      by      creating   it.

Insist on being inspired at all times wired to life.

Live        simply

And simply live.
